Dear Woman's Cancer Association members and friends,
For over fifty years the Woman's Cancer Association of the University of Miami has supported cancer research, welfare and cancer education at UM.
It is such an honor to lead an organization with such an incredible history of accomplishments and supporting cancer research.
I am always amazed to see what a small group of people can do when they put their time and dedication into a project. Each member of the WCA devotes countless hours to our projects to raise money. Each doctor and cancer research scientist at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine have devoted their lives to finding cures and improving treatments. All should take pride knowing that they have helped, and saved the lives of many, many people. You all continue to make a difference (forever) due to your hard work and selflessness.
William Feather said "Something that has always puzzled me all my life is why, when I am in special need of help, the good deed is usually done by somebody on whom I have no claim."
My deepest appreciation to all of you who care so much for our mission and the fight against this deadly disease. We can make a difference!
Yours in service, Tammy Austin WCA President 2011-2012
